Our Biosecurity Policy
-
AgriOvum employees and those residing in their households are prohibited from owning pet birds, commercial flocks, or hobby projects where birds are kept.
 -
Employees who live with others who have frequent or infrequent exposure to birds must immediately contact their AgriOvum supervisor to assess the extent and duration of the exposure and receive guidance.
 -
If AgriOvum employees are exposed to birds outside the workplace through visits to relatives, hunting, or by some other means, they MUST exercise a three day gap before returning to work.
 -
AgriOvum supervisors, drivers, or driver’s helpers are not allowed to work at or visit two or more different company's hatcheries within the same week. This includes a MANDATORY three day gap over the weekend for those whose work week ends on Friday. They will not be permitted to visit a different company's hatchery until the following Tuesday.
 -
All AgriOvum employees are trained to conduct themselves both on and off the job in a manner that ensures the most bio-secure work environment possible.
 -
All AgriOvum employees are subjected to a biosecurity questionnaire, a written training module, and a short video below to both illustrate how easily an UNINTENTIONAL disease spread can occur, and how to help prevent it (see video below).
